The block is located in central Volos on L. Gamveta street and is the first residential building awarded the energy class A+ in the wider area of Central Greece.
The morphological elements that adorn its facades draw their roots from the local design elements with references to traditional architecture. These elements such as the closed yards of the mansions of Pelion or the large elongated balconies of the city’s promenadebuildings, enhance the character of locality and highlight the unique relationship between two main references of the city of Volos – the mountain and the sea.
The local materials used both achieve to harmonize with the natural landscape as well as to serve the basic features of energy efficient buildings.
A defining element for the design process was the development of the relationship between the living areas and the bedrooms that follow a different orientation.
